I have always had an interest in gardening – well since buying my first little house way back when. At that time I had barely 8ft by 15ft, not even the size of a single bedroom, and it was at the back of a victorian terrace on which had been tacked the coal shed and original outside loo. There was however a lovely high brack wall surrounding. As it caught quite a bit of sun, I indulged in pot loads of sun loving plants and the rest of the time I happily wandered up and down the gorgeous riverside very near me – where the local council were spectacularly successful with plant design and making it all look fantastic.
Today I have the help of a garden designer to do the hard stuff – the hard landscaping and pot rotation. It breathes new life into a stale plot to have fresh professional ideas and my garden is a peaceful haven – a little luxury!
