I have been receiving a particular gardening magazine for a year or so now. Not the one from the popular Friday night programme – but one that deals with garden design and the choice of plants for the best show. I have a feeling it is geared up for persons of a much higher earnings bracket than me, but it doesn’t stop me from dreaming and lusting after some of the most stunning variations of a genus!
Having access to this top flight publication has opened my eyes rather – I have made trips to various heritage properties specifically known for their gardens. This is something I’ve not ventured to do before. Seeing the grander picture isn’t as daft and pretentious as it first seemed to me. I see unusual plants that would suit my own smaller plot. Invariably there is a plant sale – and I do buy something every time and now have a really good looking display.
